is the info true? I'm quite annoyed to hear that U-Haul has to check in on personal phones now. it's basically forcing us to access our own personal devices. I don't think it's necessary

Seriously, I've asked them for a tablet or anything else because I absolutely HATE using my personal phone for that kind of stuff.

And to make it worse, it won't even let me do the check in on their website at all. it just pushes you to the app or that mobile browser experience.

Do you guys find this super inconvenient and kinda intrusive? What do you think, guys?

Is there a workaround I'm missing, or are we all just stuck with using our phones for their check ins now?

I get what you mean. That push to use personal phones feels off, especially when there's no backup option. I've heard others say the same about being stuck with the app. Would be nice if they offered tablets or even a self-check-in kiosk at some locations.

U-Haul pretty much requires you to use your phone or their app for check in now, with no real option to do it on a computer or at a kiosk. It can definitely feel inconvenient and intrusive, but there aren't many workarounds so using your personal device is basically the way it is for now

Yeah, that's definitely concerning. Forcing people to use their own phones feels intrusive, especially without an alternative option. It raises privacy questions too, what happens to our data once it's tied into their system?
